Have You Seen The ‘Hear Here’ Signs?

Have you noticed the new signs on display in downtown La Crosse, bearing the

message ‘Hear Here’?  They’re part of a new local history project, providing residents and tourists with information about La Crosse landmarks.  Project organizer Ariel Beaujot, a U-W-La Crosse history professor, says Hear Here gives people a chance to listen to some residents who might not normally get to speak to a wide audience:

Each posted sign has a phone number that you can dial to hear a recorded message giving historic information about that section of downtown.
