Winona Bar Fire Still Being Investigated

They still don’t know what caused a fire two months ago at a downtown Winona bar, but city officials are hoping the building can be saved.  The Winona City Council has approved a plan to study the structural soundness of the downtown building gutted by a fire.  Greg Karow (CARE-oh) from the city inspections department tells us that the building’s roof is gone, but the rest of the building is still pretty good.  The Mason Jar bar and some apartments were badly damaged in that fire…the third major fire in downtown Winona in less than two years.
