Here Comes The Meth Again

When heroin deaths increased in the La Crosse area in recent years, other hazardous drugs did not go away.  Now, the county’s Heroin Task Force is working on ways to keep people from getting hooked on meth.  At last month’s meeting of the group, co-chair Mike Desmond and other members received a crash course about meth:

A former meth addict also spoke to the task force about his struggle to break the habit.  Desmond says local police have not forgotten about widespread use of meth over the last decade.
