Punishments Come Out Of Frac Meetings
The debate on frac-sand mining continues … a meeting at 7 tonight at the
Caledonia City Auditorium against mining in Houston County. News broke late Monday that Houston’s zoning and planning director, Bob Scanlan was suspended three days and ordered to take ethics training for abusing his position.
Houston County Commissioner Dana Kjome. One of the violations found by an independent investigation on Scanlan found he lied to a homeowner, saying they had 10 days to move their house or it would be removed, because it was too close to a mine. Completely not true. Their house remains standing in its original position.
