An internationally-known ‘girl group’ traveled to La Crosse this
week, bringing a serious message about mental health.
G.R.L spoke and performed at a local event in the Weber Center, promoting the Campaign to Change Direction. The four-woman group used to have a fifth member, Simone Battle, who killed herself six months ago. Singer Lauren Bennett says they hope to raise awareness about suicide and emotional illness by taking part in the campaign:
During their La Crosse appearance, G.R.L. performed a new single, ‘Lighthouse,’ written in honor of Battle.
