Cuts To Park System Not Needed
A new push against governor Walker’s planned cuts in the state’s parks
system. A coalition of groups is working to head off some of the cuts that include a dismantling of the state’s natural resource board. Bad move, says George Meyer, a former DNR secretary who heads the Wisconsin Wildlife Federation
The governor also plans to cut all state funding for the park system, making that system rely wholly on fees for survival.
