La Crosse Adds To Huge Tourism Take

Since 2010, Wisconsin has seen an 18% increase in the economic impact of tourism in the state, up to $17.5 billion. And the La Crosse area has been a big contributor to that number. That according to state tourism secretary, Stephanie Klett.

Klett is in town for the two day Wisconsin Governor’s Conference on Tourism. She says both the tourism directors in La Crosse and Onalaska should be commended for the work they and their staffs to promote tourism in the Coulee Region. The tourism dollar numbers for 2014 will come out in about a month and a half.
