Top VA Official In Tomah Today

The Tomah VA Medical Center will get yet another visit from a high ranking

official within the VA from Washington D.C. This morning, Deputy Secretary Sloan Gibson will talk with the powers that be at the medical center and employees who have gone through the opiate drug problems there.

 

The visit comes a day after the US Veterans Affairs’ agency announced a new computer aide that will help doctors keep a closer tab on their patients’ use of prescription drugs. The Opioid Therapy Risk Report was unveiled as the VA continues to investigate the alleged over-prescribing of painkillers at the VA

Medical Center in Tomah. House and Senate committees said they still plan to hold a joint hearing March 30th in Tomah at 1pm at an unknown location.
