Ready For The Plunge!
More spring-like weather is coming back to La Crosse this weekend…just in
time for jumping into the cold Mississippi River. Organizers of the Polar Plunge hope that milder temps will inspire people to make a last-minute decision to plunge for the Special Olympics.
Kerry Gloede with Special Olympics says they can register people for the plunge all day today. And even if you don’t want to go into Pettibone Lagoon, you can still run in the 5-K before Saturday’s plunge, or simply donate money to Special Olympics.
