Train Derailments Are Coming….Says The DOT

According to the federal DOT’s own predictions, potentially deadly oil train
accidents are likely to be occur in the United States over the next two decades, with derailments expected to happen an average of 10 times a year, costing billions of dollars in damage, and putting a large number of lives at risk. George Nygaard with Citizens Acting For Rail Safety says the high speed rail cars need to come off the tracks. But he knows the government won’t allow that to happen.
The grim projection was revealed exclusively by the Associated Press, which cites a previously unreported analysis by the Department of Transportation from last July.
