Houston County Thinking Frac Today

The first piece of unfinished business on the Houston County Board’s agenda

today is ‘frac sand issue updates.’ Board commissioners are likely to finish that business by voting on the idea of a permanent ban on frac sand mining.  Commissioner Justin Zymewski admits that pro-mining interests could try to bring a lawsuit against the county:

Zymewski points out that 92 per cent of the speakers at a frac sand hearing last week supported a county-wide ban on the practice.
