City And County Come Together On Lot C
Over the last 100 years, a certain block in downtown La Crosse has
either housed one large building, or no buildings at all. But many buildings could soon rise on County Lot C, between State and Vine Streets, now that the city council has agreed with a development plan promoted by La Crosse County. Mayor Tim Kabat says the city will provide a ramp where workers at the courthouse can park, once surface parking is removed from Lot C:
The council voted unanimously yesterday to support the county plans for the old courthouse block. Council member Bob Seaquist commented after the vote:
Developer Don Weber is expected to break ground soon on the Lot C project.
