Voters in a couple western Wisconsin counties are being asked to choose

judges in today’s primary. A field of three judge candidates in La Crosse County will be reduced by one, after balloting today.  Brian Barton, Gloria Doyle, and Candice Tlustosch all hope to be elected to the Branch 5 seat vacated by Dale Pasell last fall.  Tlustosch was sworn in to that post last week, after being appointed by the governor.  In Jackson County, Anna Becker also is a newly-appointed judge.  Becker is facing four opponents on the ballot, plus a write-in candidate.  Only two will make it to the April election.  There’s no primary for state Supreme Court.  Justice Ann Walsh Bradley and circuit judge James Daley will go before the voters in April.
