Hotel Lease Vote Next Week

The major vote on a new hotel lease for La Crosse comes next week.

But before that, the city council finance committee has okayed a small change that could affect the size of a proposed Fairfield Inn.  The committee approved a lease for a strip of land south of the Cass Street bridge, which could be used for additional hotel parking.  The development company says an increase in parking spaces could lead to the addition of more floors to the planned hotel, which is now scheduled to have 92 rooms.
