A La Crosse man doing prison time for another man’s drug death will not be

granted a new trial. A state appeals court says no to Cain Moss, convicted of reckless homicide two years ago in the overdose death of Tony Du Charme.  The two men had smoked a Fentanyl patch together, and Du Charme died.  Moss dumped the corpse near a north La Crosse park.  Police interviewed Moss without a lawyer present, and Moss said the cops illegally used information from him to find Du Charme’s body…but the appeals court rejected that claim.  The judges also turned down Moss’s argument that the jury should have been told more about Du Charme’s past drug use.
