Kabat Sigh Of Relief With State Budget

‘Could have been a lot worse.’  That’s La Crosse mayor Tim Kabat’s

reaction to governor Walker’s budget proposal this week that includes no cut to shared revenue for local governments

There’s no increase in state funding for local governments over the next two years, either.  And, although Kabat agrees that ignores the basic concept of inflation, he’s certain the city will be able to adjust to keep city services intact.
