Gundersen Tops List of Taxpayer Heavyweights Again

The few thousand dollars you pay in property taxes to the city of La Crosse means something.  But not nearly as much as the checks sent to the treasurers office by the city’s top ten property taxpayers.   Gundersen Health System leads the way with a 2014 bill of nearly three and a half million dollars, according to numbers we’ve just collected from the assessor’s office.  All of the top ten together pay over 12 million dollars in property taxes on about 440 million dollars in property value, a full eighth of the city’s total property value
