Walker Stands By Election Promise; No More Common Core

On a stop in La Crosse last week, Governor Scott Walker cemented his

commitment to repealing the Common Core State Standards and expanding the private school voucher program in 2015.

State Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald says the Legislature will make changes to Common Core next year, but he was unsure how the process would evolve. Wisconsin adopted the Common Core State Standards in 2010.
