Billings Backs Ideas To Check Prescription Records Of Drug Users
The battle against heroin addiction in Wisconsin may gain some ground in 2015.
La Crosse’s Jill Billings is among the state lawmakers promoting a new series of bills designed to keep people from abusing heroin. At the top of Billings’s list is an idea for making doctors more aware of the drug habits of their patients:
Billings also is watching a related plan that would alert doctors when someone tries to get more than five drug prescriptions in a month.
