Homeless Youth Task Force Coming
A new task force to help young people is getting started in La Crosse.
The specific mission of this group is to assist homeless youth around the area. Sandy Brekke, the director of the St. Clare Health Clinic in La Crosse, says the project arose from conservations at the clinic:
Brekke is chairing the youth task force along with retired local educator Mike Schnitzius. The committee is now studying how many young people are considered homeless, and what services can be provided to them.
