Houston County Board Presented With Frac Sand Ordinance
A proposed frac sand mining ordinance was presented to to the Houston County
Board this morning. Paving the way for a public hearing next month. Houston County Protectors spokesman, Bruce Kuehmichel says the county, so far, has a very poor track record enforcing the current ordinance. He wants a packed crowd at the public hearing.
He also wonders how or if the situation will change if this new ordinance is allowed to take effect. Houston County has a moratorium on frac sand mining that is set to expire in March.
