District Donations Handed Out This Morning
The cold weather and upcoming holidays have got people in the La Crosse Area
in the giving mood. And, the frigid temperatures and upcoming school breaks mean students in the La Crosse area could use some winter coats and extra food for their homes.
This morning, a large donation of food for the School District of La Crosse’s food pantries was delivered to Hamilton School from employees at Gundersen Health System. Also, Marine Credit Union presented a $1,500 check to the district to support the food pantries.
Superintendent of Schools Randy Nelson said the cold weather came quickly this year and the need for winter clothes and additional food is great, so the timing of these donations was perfect.
