School District Staying With Gorman So Far

Another stage in the sale of the now vacant Roosevelt Elementary School in La Crosse.

The school board this week approved a preliminary purchase plan with Gorman and Company of Oregon, Wisconsin.

District head, Randy Nelson says they have no plans at this point to back away from a deal with Gorman.

The plan calls for Gorman to convert the school into either family apartments or senior apartments. But that won’t happen until at least next spring or summer.
