Foreign Student Numbers Up At UW-L

About 900-thousand college students in the U-S have come here from other

countries to attend school…which is a new record. The largest percentage of foreign students is from China, making up one-third of the international student population here.  The percentage is even higher at U-W-La Crosse…close to 50 per cent, according to the International Education office.  Just over 150 Chinese students are enrolled at the La Crosse campus.  The next highest segment is eight per cent, for both students from Brazil and Saudi Arabia.  Vietnam, Japan, and Germany also are well-represented at U-W-L.
