Critics Slam Lax County Office Plans While Opposing $20 Wheel Tax

Some folks in La Crosse County have had it with local government spending money, and asking the taxpayers for more.

Public comment on a 20-dollar-a-year vehicle tax proposed by the county was overwhelmingly negative.  Tea Party member Greg Luce was among the critics at Monday night’s public hearing:

Luce and others believe the county is wasting money by making plans to sell the current administrative center for student housing, and to move county offices into a nearby bank building.
