La Crosse County Plan For Disasters

It sounds kind of like a ‘Yellow Pages’ for disaster crews…

The emergency management office for La Crosse County is preparing to switch to a new master plan for disaster situations.  Coordinator Keith Butler says other communities in the state have started using the new format:

Butler says the updated plan does not tell emergency workers how to do their jobs…but mainly gives them authority to do what they’re good at.  He says the county routinely goes over its disaster plans every decade or so, to keep them current.
