Sparta Tries For 3 In A Row

The Sparta School District will ask voters next Tuesday to pas a referendum

in the amount of $750 thousand of funding over a four year period. Money from the referendum would help pay for school security systems, technology, and a program called Community Learning Center. Superintendent, John Hendricks explains what the centers are used for.

Hendricks says he isn’t getting much support over the Community Learning Center because people are unfamiliar to it, but stresses there is a reason why it’s included. And he says it’s the biggest piece of the ballot measure they have to educate people about.
