Amendment Says Hands Off Transporation Funds

A ballot measure next month asks voters to ensure that the state’s

transportation dollars are used for transportation. And both candidates for governor support the measure? Craig Thompson with the Transportation Development  Association of Wisconsin says yes.

Wisconsin has statutory language limiting the use of transportation user fee revenue to transportation purposes. Though $1.4 billion has been swiped over the better part of a decade. The Wisconsin Legislature passed a joint resolution in two consecutive sessions to place this item before the voters.
