Skepticism on Plan to Switch from Gas Tax

No more gas tax in Wisconsin could be a reality.   Governor Walker says he’d consider switching out a per-gallon gas tax for a sales tax to stabilize the state’s transportation fund.  Onalaska state rep Steve Doyle says the transportation fund needs a far more complex fix than that

A bipartisan transportation commission cited increased gas mileage and road construction costs as the primary reasons for a shortfall in transportation funding that will exceed 15 billion dollars over the next decade.
