Firefighter Termination Agreement Accepted by Council
Generally you have to do something really bad to get fired as a firefighter in the city of La Crosse. Or, in the case of Tracey Johnston, just a bunch of little bads. The city council has voted to accept a termination agreement with Johnston, a 13 veteran of the department, for her latest infraction that involved lying about an injury so she would avoid using up her sick leave. But there was several other black marks on Johnston’s record and she had been on a last chance agreement for the last two years and had been reprimanded during that time as well.
