Mayo Says No To One Route Plan

Mayo Clinic Health System has sent a letter to the Public Service

Commission, letting them know the proposed Badger Coulee high powered transmission lines are not wanted in the area. Mayo chief administrative officer, Joe Kruse told reporters Tuesday that one proposed route for the lines would interfere with Mayo’s empty property near Menard’s in Onalaska. Property they have no plans for……now.

The three member PSC will determine whether the project is necessary and serves the public interest. The commission can approve, deny or modify the proposal and will select the route if the project is approved. Possibly by March of 2015.
