Turned Leaf Has Good Turn Out
A smaller alternative to Oktoberfest has been operating in La Crosse for over
30 years, but this fall it really caught on. The Turned Leaf festival for 2014 doubled its usual attendance on the day of the Maple Leaf Parade, with the busiest hours of the day happening while the parade was in progress across town. Speaking for the Coulee Council on Addictions, associate director Lorie Lautz says there’s a definite demand for something other than a beer festival:
Lautz says even late in the afternoon, Turned Leaf still had close to 100 visitors enjoying music at Myrick Park.
