Big Repairs Coming To Jackson Street In LAX

Jackson Street in La Crosse hasn’t had many improvements in recent

years…unless you count the island recently put in the street near the Viterbo Fine Arts Center. But an overhaul of Jackson is part of the D-O-T’s long-range plans…five or six years from now.  The La Crosse Area Planning Committee will get a report on the project next week.  Project manger Todd Waldo says it takes time to make preparations for a major reconstruction of more than a mile of pavement:

Waldo says the last time concrete was poured on Jackson Street was 1954.
