Tavern League President; Oktoberfest Huge Economic Impact

Bars make money on Oktoberfest.  But who else does?  That’s part of what the fest board will study in the coming year.  The idea is to get a handle on the economic impact of the fest.  La Crosse Tavern League president Mike Brown says, while not all bars hit it big on the fest, those that do tend to reinvest their windfall

The fest board has chafed at fees charged by the city for parades and other services since those fees were instituted three years ago.  The economic impact study could be part of an argument to do away with those fees.
