Radisson Plays A Huge Part With Center

When the La Crosse Center was expanded in the 1990’s to include

more convention space, the civic arena had to build around an existing business on 2nd Street…the Radisson Center banquet hall.  The owners of the hall and the Radisson Hotel could not agree on any plan to sell that building to the city.  The current manager of the La Crosse Center, Art Fahey, says the Radisson building still could play a part in the arena’s future:

Fahey says there are no plans for the city to acquire the Radisson Hotel, which opened in 1980 at about the same time as the La Crosse Center.  Expansion plans for the Center will be presented to the city council tomorrow at its September meeting.
