Butts Pleads Guilty To Drug Death Of Boyfriend’s Young Daughter

More than a year ago, a toddler in Trempealeau County died from a combination of medicines given to her by a babysitter. 

Now, that babysitter pleads guilty to reckless homicide.  Amanda Butts entered a ‘guilty’ plea earlier this week, and also pled ‘no contest’ to a charge of physically abusing Alexis Behlke.  Butts admitted to giving Alexis different drugs to get her to sleep.  She was dating the girl’s father at the time.  A sentencing date has not been scheduled yet.
