Hellerud Headed To Lax County Trial For Drug Overdose Death Of Tremplo Man

A ‘not guilty’ plea today from Jered Hellerud…

Hellerud is charged with providing the heroin to a Trempealeau County man who died from an overdose a year ago.  The case reportedly was moved to La Crosse County from Trempealeau County because of concerns about conflict of interest over other drug cases in that county.  Hellerud could face 42 years in prison if he’s convicted of reckless homicide in the death of Robert Gordon.
