No No Tobacco Policy Yet At UW-L

Expect discussions to continue this semester at UW-L on a campus wide tobacco
free policy. The universities 4 governance groups started talks about a policy last year with no decisions being made. Chancellor Joe Gow tells us that there are a few questions that need answers first.
The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point plans to go tobacco-free this month. Starting August 25th, no one will be allowed to use tobacco on campus property, including parking lots and sidewalks. Gow says they’ll be watching how well the policy goes there.
