Holmen Still Against Coulee Badger Line
An environmental assessment on the proposed Badger Coulee high powered
transmission line project was released Tuesday and that now kicks off the public comment period for the proposal. Holmen Village President, Nancy Proctor says no matter what, the Public Service Commission already has their minds made up.
The power line project would link Madison and La Crosse and according to Proctor, go right through areas of her town that would be drastically impacted by the lines. There is now a 46 day public comment period. Comments received by October 3rd will be used to prepare the final Environmental Impact Statement.
