Sparta Man In Car Chase

A Sparta man led cops on a high speed chase earlier today because he didn’t want his car towed.

 

Cops were trying to pull 34 year old Edward Smith JR of Sparta over on a routine stop when the chase began. Cops say Smith kept passing vehicles at a high rate of speed and started losing control when he was going around a curve in the road when he finally stopped.

 

Smith, who had been drinking, told cops that he didn’t stop because he didn’t want his car towed. Smith was arrested on four charges, 2 felonies. And yes……his car was towed.
