Bases Really Stolen at Copeland Park

It may have been hard for the La Crosse Loggers to steal a win this season, but it was apparently no problem for someone to steal home plate.  La Crosse police report thieves not only ripped out home plate from the Loggers ball field at Copeland park this weekend and walked off with it.  They also stole third base.  Police say they have no witness but they’re reviewing surveillance video at the park.  Loggers finished their season Sunday with a loss and ended the second half of the season at the very bottom of the Northwoods south division with a record of 12 and 25.
