Amanda Butts was charged with causing the drug-related death of her boyfriend’s young daughter in June of 2013.  A year after Butts was charged in the death of 22-month-old Alexis Behlke, she is still waiting to be tried for homicide and physical abuse of the child.  An autopsy showed that the girl died from a combination of three medicines, after Butts reportedly gave her the drugs to get her to sleep.  A week-long trial for Butts has been scheduled for late September in Trempealeau County Court.
