‘Dumb And Dumber’ Star Daniels To Play Music In Lax This Summer

Five years ago, the La Crosse Community Theater put on the play ‘Escanaba in da Moonlight’ on its old stage, at the current Cavalier Theater.

The author of that play will take the Cavalier stage next month, as a musician.  Actor Jeff Daniels performs on August 26th with a band led by his son Ben.  (This morning on WIZM’s La Crosse Talk…) Daniels said he has become more confident about his acting over the years, and that confidence helps on his cable TV series ‘The Newsroom’:

Last fall, Daniels won an Emmy for his role as a TV news anchor on ‘The Newsroom.’  He tells us that performing with his son’s band gives him a chance to do songs that he has written during his career.
