MnDOT Still Going After Properties

MnDOT announced the acquisition of the Dahl Chevrolet, Buick and GMC

dealership in downtown Winona for $2.6 million. It’s the biggest right of way purchase to date for the new Winona bridge project. DOT bridge project manager, Terry Ward says there is a timeline they have to meet to purchase three more properties.

Mn/DOT had been expected to file for eminent domain at the
beginning of this month. The final 3 of 22 properties they are going after, the AmericInn, Severson’s Sinclair gas station, and Winona Leasing and Sales.
