Consultant For Library May Wait, Until After Kabat Asks County For Funding

What does the La Crosse Library say to the call for a consultant to look over the library’s finances?

The library director says a consultant can wait until after they work out the 2015 budget.  Kelly Krieg Sigman has given the library board a breakdown of library spending and revenue, which she says could allow all three buildings to remain open next year.

Kelly says Mayor Tim Kabat will ask La Crosse County to help out with some funding.  And she suggests that if it’s necessary, they’ll reduce hours at the north and south branches to just 20 hours a week, Monday through Friday.
