Body Of Missing Lax Man Found In Black River

La Crosse police have found the body of a 23-year-old man who disappeared Tuesday night while walking home from a boat ride on the Black River.

The body of Shalim Augustine was discovered in the river near Rose Street early Friday night.  Augustine was last seen near the Clinton Street bridge.  A search began when he didn’t show up for a bartending job the next day.  Friends and relatives organized their own search in north La Crosse on Friday morning.
