A Sparta man has been jailed on his 3rd offense OWI after trying to

alert cops to fireworks in his neighborhood Saturday.

 

A Sparta officer was flagged down Saturday night by a man who had stopped his car in traffic and asked the cop to stop. While 60 year old Richard Clark of Sparta, was complaining about the fireworks being shot by neighbors, cops noticed Clark was highly intoxicated. Clark admitted he consumed alcohol and that he was driving to find out where the fireworks were being shot off at. Clark was administered field sobriety tests and PBT’d with a result of .412.

 

He was arrested for 3rd Offense OWI and taken to jail.
