Kader Wants Landlords to Get Registration Credit

Dozens.  Maybe Hundreds in La Crosse seem destined to pay for something they’re never going to get.  Those are the ones who have paid for both years of their rental property registration but have to re-register under new rental rules this month with a year remaining on their registration under the old rules.  And they’re not getting a credit for the fee they’ve already paid.  City council member Audrey Kader is frustrated the apparent injustice wasn’t taken care of when the new rules were approved. Although she’s fully aware of how it happened

For those registering for the first time, the new rental rules are relative bargain; $25 for a one year registration, as opposed to a $150 two year registration under the old rules.
