Drugs Near Park Don’t Mix

Hanging out in the park can be a nice experience. Get caught with drugs near

said park….well jail will be in your future. That’s what a Monroe County man is finding out now.

 

Wednesday night, a Tomah Police officer was told of drug activity happening at the fairgrounds. Two cars were found at Recreation Park parked near the playground equipment. Searches of both cars produced numerous items of drug paraphernalia and a total of 18 grams of marijuana, some of which was packaged for sale. $350 cash was found as well.

 

Cops busted 23 year old Michael Nelson of Tomah for possession with intent to deliver marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. An enhancer is added with the charges, as they occurred within 1000 feet of a playground or park. Nelson was taken to the Monroe County Jail.
