Shelby Town Attorney Assigned To Probe Of Campbell Police Chief

The Campbell town board has found an outsider to look into the behavior of Police Chief Tim Kelemen. 

That outsider is Frank Doherty, who’s the attorney for the Town of Shelby.  The decision to have Doherty investigate Kelemen came after an hour-long discussion by the board in closed session.  Campbell’s attorney, Brent Smith, says Doherty won’t be duplicating the criminal investigation being done by the Monroe County district attorney:

Campbell is being sued by a local activist who objects to limits on political demonstrations.  Chief Kelemen is accused of signing the activist up for various websites, as a form of harassment.
